Devotional atmosphere prevails across Odisha on Maha Saptami

Bhubaneswar(29/09/2025): A devotional atmosphere has been created across Odisha on Monday for Maa Durga’s Maha Saptami celebrations.

The skies and air are resonating with the sound of bells, conches and huluhuli (traditional ululation).

Crowds of devotees are visible at various puja pandals in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. Today, Maa Durga’s Maha Ashtami puja is also being performed at several sacred shrines. At Sarala Peeth in Jhankad, Jagatsinghpur district, special rituals are being conducted, where separate offerings of pana (sweet drink) and chuda (flattened rice) will be made. A large number of devotees also thronged the Biraja Temple in Jajpur to offer prayers to the Goddess.
