
Odisha Cabinet approves 4 proposals
Bhubaneswar (29/09/2025): The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday approved 4 proposals from 3 different departments. The Cabinet approved amendments to the Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1956 and the Factories Act, 1948. The daily working hours of labourers have been increased from 9 hours to 10 hours. Employees will be eligible for Overtime pay if they work more than 48 hours in a week. Female employees may work during the night shift after submitting a letter of consent. The state government will ensure safety arrangements for female employees working at night. The Godabarish Adarsha Primary School Scheme was sanctioned. An amount of Rs 226 crore has been sanctioned for the peripheral development of the Ghatgaon Tarini Shrine in Keonjhardistrict. A DPR (Detailed Project Report) will be prepared for the peripheral development covering 59 acres of land.
