Commissionerate Police tightens security for Durga Puja

​Bhubaneswar(29/09/2025): The Commissionerate Police has ramped up security in Bhubaneswar for Durga Puja. ​A total of 61 platoons of force have been deployed across the city. ​Security arrangements are in place for 193 total pandals (festival tents/structures). ​Total 24 pandals have been provided with special security for valuable jewellery and ornaments. ​Extra measures are being taken for fire safety and electrical hazard prevention. ​Police Commissioner S.Debadutta Singh emphasized that the focus is on crowd management and traffic control. ​Drones are being utilized for close monitoring of the pandals. ​Festival operations are being managed from a Smart Control Room. ​Every puja pandal remains under CCTV surveillance. The ​Commissioner requested the cooperation of all citizens.
