
OTDC employees go on mass leave
Bhubaneswar : The employees of Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) went on a mass leave to put pressure on the state government to fulfill their longstanding demands. Under the banner of Utkal Paryatan Niganı Employees Association, the employees had given to OTDC Management and the government 15 days' time and subsequently 30 days for convening conciliation meeting inviting the recognized union for resolving the charter of demands, but there is no suitable action has been taken.President of the Association Sibananda Ray said, "The employees of the OTDC expressed their discontentment by wearing the black badges.Still, they have not paid heed to the protest of the employees, hence it has been decided to go on mass leave.We oppose the unlawful appointment of the staff in OTDC.We demand the cadre rule of employees should be constituted, contractual and NMR employees be regularised at the earliest.".
