Srimayee Mishra Suspended from BJD After Social Media Remarks

Bhubaneswar(23/09/2025): The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Tuesday suspended Srimayee Mishra, General Secretary of the party’s women’s wing, following a series of controversial remarks she made on social media. Mishra, who had earlier referred to issues such as “Dhritarashtra” and “Fake Monk” in her posts, has been at the centre of political discussions in the Odisha. Reacting to her suspension, Mishra wrote on social media that she had not been active in the party for a year and had not renewed her membership.
