
Training programme equips EMRS and JNV teachers to lead youth gram sabha activities
Bhubaneswar(20/09/2025): A one-day training programme was organised for nominated teachers from Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) at JNVs located in Cuttack, Sambalpur, and Khordha. The training was conducted by master trainers from the State Panchayati Raj Department and focused on preparing teachers from selected blocks of different districts in Odisha to conduct Model Youth Gram Sabha activities. The key objective of the programme was to nurture democratic values and leadership qualities among students by introducing them to the process and significance of the Gram Sabha.The initiative is aimed at fostering awareness and encouraging active participation in local self-governance, thereby helping students grow into informed and responsible citizens.
