
Two low-pressure systems to trigger heavy rainfall in Odisha
Bhubaneswar(21/09/2025): Two new low-pressure systems are likely to form on September 25 and October 1. Due to the influence of these two systems, heavy rainfall is expected in Odisha.A cyclonic circulation is currently active over the North Andaman Sea and along the Myanmar coast.This system is expected to move towards the northern Bay of Bengal by the end of September. A low-pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal on September 25.Under its influence, heavy rainfall is likely in the state till September 26. Again, on September 30, another cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the Myanmar coast and the Bay of Bengal.This system may intensify into a low-pressure area by October 1, and could become more concentrated. As a result, light to moderate rainfall is expected across Odisha on October 1 and 2.
