
GST Bachat Utsav will increase savings and bring happiness to families: PM Modi
Bhubaneswar (21/09/2025): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday in his address to the nation announced the 'GST Bachat Utsav' from September 22, calling it a next-gen reform to cut prices, boost middle-class savings, benefit youths, and drive growth. The Prime Minister said, "GST has realised the dream of 'one nation, one tax'.A web of taxes and tolls earlier created hardships for both businesses and consumers.Daily essentials, medicines, and insurance will become cheaper under the GST reforms.The 'GST Bachat Utsav' will increase savings and bring happiness to families." The PM appealed to the citizens to buy goods that are Made in India, products that reflect the hard work of our nation's youths. PM Modi urged the state governments to actively support the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative and the Swadeshi programme by accelerating manufacturing activities within their respective states.
