
Navaratri Puja begins
Bhubaneswar(22/09/2025): Navaratri Puja has begun on Monday. It starts from the Pratipada Tithi (first day) of the bright fortnight (Shukla Paksha) in the Ashwin month, and ends on the Dashami Tithi (tenth day). During the 9 days, each day a specific form of Goddess Durga, the destroyer of evil, is worshipped. Today, Goddess Chandi of Cuttack is adorned in the Harachandi form. On the occasion of Navaratri, special rituals are being conducted at the Maa Sarala shrine in Jagatsinghpur. A large crowd of devotees was seen at the shrine this morning to have a glimpse of the Goddess.
