BJD workers–police scuffle in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar(23/09/2025): A scuffle broke out between BJD workers and the police on Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. Thousands of BJD leaders, workers, sarpanches, block chairpersons, and district council chairpersons joined the protest, alleging that the powers of government representatives were being curtailed. During the protest, the agitators broke two barricades in front of the Assembly and tried to break the third one.

Police intervened to stop the protesters, but as they remained adamant, a scuffle erupted.

Later, police used water cannons to disperse the agitators.
