Huawei India extends education support to rural Karnataka in collaboration with Aahwahan Foundation
New Delhi (23/09/2025): Aahwahan Foundation has partnered with Huawei India to build new and modern classrooms in government schools in the remote villages of Karnataka. In a crucial step towards transforming education in the underprivileged areas of Karnataka, the collaboration intends to close the gap between urban and rural education by building safe, inclusive, and future-ready learning spaces. This initiative is already being implemented in the Kolkunte (Davanagere), Hirekeruru (Haveri), and Thuraganuru (Mandya) regions, recognised for their infrastructure shortages and ability to reach large populations. Each newly constructed classroom has lots of space, adequate cross ventilation, and structural sustainability, creating more dignified and engaging experiences for students. Satish Hampali, Vice President at Huawei Technologies, stated, "We believe education is the bedrock of a progressive society. While the Indian education system is vast, challenges persist in rural areas. We are happy to help bridge this gap by providing resources (Infrastructure) for students in rural Karnataka. This initiative is a small but meaningful way for us to contribute to building a more inclusive and educated society. It is a testament to our commitment to sustainable development and empowering the next generation. We are proud to partner with the Aahwahan Foundation to support the mission of the Indian Government for making quality education accessible to every child."
